Why Work at QC?
At QueryClick, we’ve put our heart and soul into building a company that employees love to be a part of.
We’ve come a long way in 14 years (in fact, you can see just how far in our company timeline).
From our CEO, Chris, starting the business from his spare bedroom, we have an office in Edinburgh and employees spanning the breadth of the UK thanks to our remote-first policy.
As QC’s HR Advisor, it’s easy for me to shout about how great it is to work here. So, I thought it would only be fair to get some opinions from other members of the team.
We asked a few of our recent newcomers to share their thoughts on life at QC so far – and what initially drew them to us.

Jeremy Keelty – Data Engineer
Why QC?
I thought Corvidae, QueryClick’s attribution tool, was an interesting piece of software and was intrigued by how it worked.
The benefits seemed great too, including remote-first working.
How did you find the recruitment process?
It was a breath of fresh air compared to my experiences at previous companies. It was straightforward and to the point, with only 2 steps (code test and then 1 interview).
They provided quick responses all round which I really appreciated.
How was the onboarding process?
It was jam packed with lots to do – however it did allow me to know the faces of people around the company quickly and get a feel for the company as a whole.
What is your favourite thing about QC so far?
The support from colleagues is great and work/life balance is always respected.

Fernanda Botelho de Oliveira – SEO Manager
Why QC?
I had a very clear view of what I wanted for the next step in my career:
a bigger team, who could support me, and whom I could learn from; a company with a career path; a challenging position.
It was clear from the job description that QC would provide all that.
How did you find the recruitment process?
Very clear, straightforward, and respectful. Usually, companies don’t explain everything about the whole process and don’t give feedback (especially if it’s negative).
Also, Caryn, QC’s in-house recruiter, was super nice all the time which helped to take off some of the pressure that comes with interviewing for a job you really want!
How was the onboarding process?
There was a lot to learn and understand, lots of people to meet, and processes to go through – which was a little overwhelming at first.
However, it was very organised, and it all made sense.
What is your favourite thing about QC so far?
That QC really cares for the employees.
Any advice for new joiners or candidates?
Ask! No question is stupid, and people are really nice and keen to help everyone.
If you had to describe QC in 3 words….
I’m terrible at picking words to describe something, but I would say it’s a great place to work!
Alex Ingram – SEO Executive
Why QC?
I have a friend that already worked for the company and everything they told me about QC just made it sound like the most amazing and supportive company to work for!
How did you find the recruitment process?
Really easy, Caryn was amazing and made me feel really comfortable and at ease.
How was the onboarding process?
Pretty straightforward, there was a lot to take in though!
What is your favourite thing about QC so far?
How friendly and approachable everyone is. It’s made joining the company a great experience.
Any advice for new joiners or candidates?
Don’t be afraid to reach out and ask questions, everyone is really supportive and helpful.
If you had to describe QC in 3 words…

Diana Trifu – Senior Customer Success Manager
Why QC?
QC seemed like the right place for me from the start just from meeting the people.
I believe in being part of a company that works together towards the same goal and that is what QC inspired me. For me, it’s important to believe in the values and goals of the company and QC’s align with mine.
How did you find the recruitment process?
It was fast and straightforward. I received updates along the way which were much appreciated and made me interested in pursuing the role.
How was the onboarding process?
As the software side still has some developing to do, I believe there is a bit of work to be done in the onboarding process for software as well but that is only to be expected!
However, this definitely didn’t impact me feeling welcomed or supported in my role. And I have used it as an opportunity to help with future onboardings for the Corvidae team.
What is your favourite thing about QC so far?
The people and the potential that Corvidae has.
Any advice for new joiners or candidates?
Ask questions, be curious and always share if there is anything that could be improved.
If you had to describe QC in 3 words….
- Innovative
- Teamwork
- Open
